Dear sir/madam, Welcome to the very first newsletter of Compass eXperts & eXpats! Before the beginning of this year you probably knew us under our incorporated name Compass Consulting B.V., or perhaps under one of our former trade-names Compass EMC (European Market Consultants) or Compass BMS (Business Management Services) You already may have noticed our earlier change of name and logo. These adjustments, together with a new and improved website are tools to be able to communicate who we are: An independent supplier of ‘expert-quality’ services, for, from and by specialized foreign suppliers and their highly skilled expats. With our newsletter, we wish to inform anyone who is interested, on various aspects of our business that may be of interest to clients, partners, employees or other business relations. Topics will vary from changes in immigration laws in Europe, new business service offerings of Compass and its business partners, to other news that can be of interest to anyone within our network. To start however, in this first edition we will focus on some important events for Compass eXperts & eXpats itself in the past year: Renewed house style, logo and website: transparent and versatile… just like us. Renewed house style, logo and website: transparent and versatile… …….. just like us. A refreshed logo, matching house style and a renewed website. These tools will clarify and support the brand ‘Compass eXperts & eXpats. The colors in the logo represent our versatility as well as the strong influence of colorful India on our business. The ‘compass’ however, signifies how we are expanding our view globally, as our business also in 2009 has brought us far beyond the boundaries of the Netherlands and India, the countries where our business has its ‘roots’. We aim our services at different target groups and therefore our new website is a very transparent tool to find the specific information of your interest immediately: ü Financial institutions are able to directly review resumes of suitable candidates in Temenos/T24, Oracle’s Flexcube and other areas. ü Banking-IT service providers that have services to offer, are able to see what Compass can do to market their services in Europe. ü Any foreign IT-company that needs to deploy staff on-site in Europe under various work permit-regimes, can benefit from Compass’ 10+ years of experience in doing just that! Compass eXperts & eXpats accredited as official partner of Expatcenter Amsterdam. In the summer of 2009, Compass eXperts & eXpats received an official accreditation as partner of the Expatcenter Amsterdam. The  Expatcenter Amsterdam is a joint venture of the municipal administrations of the cities of Amsterdam and Amstelveen (with other surrounding cities to follow soon) on one side, and the Dutch immigration authority IND on the other side. The Expatcenter aims to streamline and facilitate the often complex administrative and legal process involved in employment migration to the Netherlands.  By accrediting us as official partner, the Expatcenter confirms that Compass eXperts & eXpats is a specialized service-provider in the area of international recruitment, employment migration and Expat-support, that can provide added value to anyone involved in the area of employment migration: from the Dutch ‘hosting’-employer to the foreign ‘sending’ employer. And not to forget: the (independent or employed) expat him- or herself. back
Compass eXperts & eXpats opens new office in Amsterdam. Recently, Compass eXperts & eXpats has opened a new office location in Amsterdam. With this initiative, Compass eXperts & eXpats confirms its strong commitment to the delivery of services to companies and expats in the Amsterdam region, where already a large part of our clients (both companies and employees) are based. Our Amsterdam office is located in the Atrium Business Centre, just next to the Amsterdam World Trade Centre, where the above-mentioned Amsterdam Expatcenter is found. This way, Compass is able to fully support the ‘one-stop-shop’ idea that allows Highly Skilled Migrants to handle the required ‘after arrival’-visits to administrative authorities in as few stops as possible. With office locations now in Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Brussels, Compass is well-placed to provide local support for eXpats in the most active business areas of the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. And from there, into the rest of Europe…. back
Expansion in expertise. Over the last years, Compass eXperts & eXpats has become very successful in services around the Temenos’ T24/Globus core banking software. Services that – in our region - we now supply to almost all of the banks that have active projects around this product. We have now started to apply our successful formula also in the market for services around Oracle’s Financial Services Software (better known as Flexcube). And we will actively keep looking for further expansion. back
Compass eXperts & eXpats: sponsor of Cricket Club Arnhem Compass’ business is bringing us in contact with companies and consultants from all over the globe. This year alone, our activities involved an approximately 15 countries on either the supply-, demand- or delivery-side of business. But, we cannot deny that India has always played, and will continue to play a central role in our activities. Besides the Indian wealth on experienced IT-experts, the country is known for its rich cultural history. And off course for its national sport: Cricket. A sport that in India is as popular (or perhaps even more) as football is in Europe? It will thus perhaps not be a surprise, that Compass eXperts & eXpats this year has decided to become an official sponsor of the Cricket Club Arnhem. Among others Compass is contributing on the uniforms and other activities of Cricket Club Arnhem. back
